Privacy Policy
EarTime is designed with your privacy in mind. All your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information with third parties.
Data We Access
-
Audio Route Monitoring
We monitor your device's audio output route to detect when wireless earbuds are connected or disconnected. This starts and stops listening session tracking automatically. No Bluetooth permission is required.
-
HealthKit (Headphone Audio Exposure)
With your permission, EarTime reads headphone audio exposure data from Apple Health to provide insights. We request read-only access and never write to or modify your health data.
-
Listening Sessions
Session start time, end time, and duration are stored locally on your device using Core Data, synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit.
-
Notifications
With your permission, EarTime sends local notifications to remind you to take breaks. These are scheduled entirely on-device.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No analytics or tracking SDKs
- No advertising identifiers
- No server-side data collection
- No audio recording or microphone access
- No location data
iCloud Sync
Your listening sessions sync across your devices through your personal iCloud account. This data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and encryption. EarTime has no access to your iCloud credentials.
Your Control
You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings. You can delete all local data from the Settings screen within EarTime.
In-App Purchases
EarTime offers an optional premium subscription for additional features. All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. EarTime never accesses, stores, or processes any payment information.
